The British Drilling Association (BDA) is the UK's trade association for the ground drilling industry.

BDA Audited Personnel

The BDA Audit delivers a scheme specifically for the UK drilling industry that confirms individuals working in the industry sector have the necessary training and qualifications.

The BDA Audit Cards show that individuals have the necessary competence to carry out their work productively and safely. Every member of a drilling crew should hold their own valid BDA Audit Card. A Yellow Card holder may offer drilling support to any BDA Audited Lead Driller. A Blue Card holder may only carry out drilling activities using the techniques specified on the individuals BDA Audit Card.

BDA Audited Driller Cards should be reviewed along with the individuals Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Land Drilling Card.

The BDA Audit is the subject of continued improvement and update and fully satisfies new British Standards (BS 22475-2 and 3), European Standards (EuroCode) and the Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM) with regard to the need to prove the on-going annual competency of drilling operatives.
