The British Drilling Association (BDA) is undergoing a number of changes to reflect the new, post-COVID way of working with much more emphasis on remote working and digital communication, the recently relaunched, refreshed and improved audit scheme and the evolving geotechnical industry in the UK.
To ensure that the BDA maintains contact with its Membership it is looking to recruit a Membership Officer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for making direct contact with every member company, through both registered and sponsored members of staff; will gather the views and opinions of the membership about the BDA and the role they would like to see it take; gather information on business optimism and outlook; discuss engagement with the BDA Audit Scheme and training courses; help to gather and collate accident statistics; and discuss the common industry issues.
This information will be collated to help the BDA ensure that its aims and objectives are aligned with its membership. The role will also involve reaching out to appropriate businesses who are not currently members of the BDA.
The aim is that the membership officer role will be financed by membership retention and new membership subscriptions.
Key requirements for the role are an in-depth, working knowledge of the UK ground drilling industry, previous experience within a management or sales role within the sector, and a commitment to the aims and objectives of the association.
It is expected that the initial contract will be based on a short-term, consultancy basis.
A detailed Job Specification is available on request.
If you are interested in the role, or know someone who may be, please send CV, with a covering email, to office@britishdrillingassociation.co.uk
