National Highways Join The British Drilling Association

The British Drilling Association (BDA) is delighted to welcome National Highways as a member of the Association.

National Highways, responsible for managing and improving England’s motorways and major A roads, joins the BDA under the ‘Client’ membership category, a category created specifically to widen the reach of the BDA, to forge better relations with its customers and to help it better represent the drilling sector.

Speaking about the addition of National Highways to the Association, BDA Chair Paul McMann said: “It is a pleasure to welcome National Highways to the Association, as it not only endorses the aims and goals of the BDA but also its willingness to work with its membership and the wider construction sector to raise ever higher standards.

“National highways will bring a genuine real-world client perspective to the BDA, which will be invaluable in helping shape the direction of the Association in the future.”

Catherine McGrath, Ground Investigation Framework Manager for National Highways, said: “Becoming a member of the BDA is a welcome move for National Highways, who are keen to support the Ground Investigation industry. it’s essential we work together to raise Best Practice, Lessons Learnt, and encourage Collaboration.”

Paul McMann added: “The recently overhauled BDA Audit, which defines BDA members, has never been more relevant to those organisations, large and small, that seek to engage with the services provided by the drilling sector, and who looking for a real differentiator of safety, quality, professionalism.”

The ‘Client’ membership category is open to any organisation engaged in procuring or specifying ground drilling services (or equipment) but not contracting to supply such services or directly employing sub-contracted drillers.
