About
Raeburn Drilling & Geotechnical Limited (including Raeburn Drilling & Geotechnical Northern) T/A Igne was established in 1985 as a rotary drilling company based out of Scotland. Predating this, the Raeburn family was synonymous with drilling, originally beginning their work in the 1940s. As Raeburn’s business progressed, it expanded its operations and fleet to include water well rigs, soil rigs, and geology and engineering services: becoming the all-around ground investigation company it is well known as today. RDG is particularly well-known for its specialised sonic drilling services and has worked on many notable multimillion pound projects, previously winning the Ground Investigation Specialist of the Year Award at the Ground Engineering Annual Awards Ceremony. Expert in-house chartered geotechnical engineers and geologists are able to bring added to value to more complex investigations, challenging conditions and bring a high degree of expertise in rock and rock stability assessments. RDG rebranded as Igne in 2023.
Raeburn Drilling and Geotechnical Limited T/A Igne has the ability to bring other services to a project from within the group with a simple, single point of contact, to support its customers’ projects including Unexploded Ordnance survey and clearance, Water and Geothermal Well Drilling and Geo-environmental engineering.
