What does “good” look like? You can read Regulations Standards and Guidance documents, but does this help translate to what is happening onsite? The British Drilling Association (BDA) has produced a series of videos to demonstrate what “good” looks like.

These videos focus on individual tasks and what is required to perform them safely, and in line with the relevant Standards.

The Standard Penetration Test (SPT) is detailed in BS EN ISO 22476-1:2023. This video shows the process and records required to ensure that the SPT is performed in line with the standard.

Why Audit? [April 2023]

The BDA’s mission is a commitment to improving standards in Health & Safety, quality of workmanship and technical proficiency for the drilling industry and its clients. The BDA Audit is pivotal in enabling the BDA to meet its mission statement. This video explains why a drilling operator, or a client employing drilling contractors, should ensure that drillers have a current and valid audit card.
