BDA Webinar – April 2021 – Choices for Net Zero Infrastructure…

The next British Drilling Association (BDA) Webinar, which is planned for 14^th April 2021,1pm – 2pm, will see Arup’s Director of Net Carbon Zero for Infrastructure, Tim Chapman, discuss the important topic of “Choices for Net Zero Infrastructure”.

During the planned 45-minute presentation, Tim will explain how the construction industry can assess the whole life carbon effects of infrastructure and therefore be able to identify the sort of projects that will be favoured in the rush to achieving Net Zero.

With the geotechnical industry presently responsible for some 13% of the huge carbon emissions that the construction sector directly causes, it is clear that there will tremendous enthusiasm to build infrastructure projects with increasingly lower carbon footprints, especially if the sector is to achieve the goal of Net Zero Carbon emissions by 2050. Identifying these projects and preparing for them will shape the facets of drilling businesses in the near future.
