The British Drilling Association (BDA) is celebrating another important achievement as its third-party accreditation, the BDA Audit, has successfully passed its annual systems audit, which was conducted by the Minerals Product Qualification Council (MPQC). This outstanding accomplishment underscores the BDA’s unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards in the drilling sector.
For the third consecutive year, the BDA Audit has demonstrated its excellence in industry benchmarks. The rigorous audit process conducted by MPQC has once again affirmed the BDA’s dedication to quality, safety, and professionalism within the drilling sector.
The BDA Audit evaluates various aspects of drilling operations, including safety protocols, equipment maintenance, environmental practices, and personnel qualifications. Successfully passing this audit not only highlights the BDA’s commitment to excellence but also provides reassurance to stakeholders, clients, and industry partners about the high calibre of BDA audited member companies.
Paul McMann, Chair of the British Drilling Association, expressed his delight, saying, “This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of the BDA’s Audit team in upholding the highest standards in the drilling industry. The BDA is proud to be recognised by MPQC once again for its commitment to quality and safety. This accreditation reaffirms the Association’s position as a leading authority in the drilling sector.”
The annual systems audit is an essential part of ensuring that the BDA Audit is fit for purpose and that BDA member companies adhere to the industry’s best practices, which, in turn, contributes to the overall safety and sustainability of drilling operations across the UK.
As the BDA continues to maintain the highest standards, it remains at the forefront of promoting safe, sustainable, and innovative drilling practices throughout the United Kingdom. The Association’s commitment to ongoing excellence ensures that the industry will continue to evolve and adapt to meet the challenges of the future.
