Celebrating a Legacy: Andrew Stevenson, Former BDA Chair, Retires

December 6, 2024

After a remarkable career with BAM Ritchies, Andrew Stevenson retired on the 29th November and began an exciting new chapter with his wife, Anne-Marie.

Based in the Scottish office, Andrew joined BAM in 1990 and progressed from site engineer to UK Head of Ground Investigation. In recent years, he shifted to preconstruction, where his expertise helped secure projects and guide value-driven ground investigations. Andrew’s leadership has been instrumental in growing their ground investigation business and contributing to BAM Ritchies’ success as a whole.

A respected leader in the wider industry, Andrew was a long-standing and dedicated member of the British Drilling Association where he served on multiple committees, including the T&E, F&S and Management Committee. Andrew also took a tenure as Chair of the BDA, and through a turbulent period of change and decision making, his analytical mind and confident leadership steered the BDA to a stronger place.

While Andrew will be greatly missed, we wish him all the best as he enjoys a well-deserved retirement.
