The Marketing Sub-Committee of the British Drilling Association (BDA) met virtually via Teams on 21st March 2025.
Key Highlights:
- Articles & Media Contributions – The Committee agreed to maintain momentum on member engagement and profile raising through articles aligned to current events and sub-committee meeting outputs.
- BDA Conference 2025 – Progress continues across all areas of the conference, with confirmed speakers including: COWI, AGS (Buro Happold & Onyx Geo), Mining Remediation Authority, British Hydropower Association, and the Heat Pump Federation. Delegate registrations increasing with continued promotion via GE, AGS, and BDA channels.
- BDA Gala & Awards 2025 – Promotion of the event has begun with “Save the Date”, which has been shared via social media and is live on the BDA website (‘News’ and ‘Events’). Further rollout of comms scheduled, incusing member email campaign (scheduled for early April). Six judges confirmed, with ten sought in total. Categories are being assigned on acceptance. Awards will open for entry on 16th July 2025 and will close on 16th October 2025. Entry via BDA website or email.
- BDA Golf Day 2025 – Headline Sponsor confirmed as WJ UK. Two additional sponsors confirmed. “Save the Date” live on website and social channels, Six teams confirmed to date. Full launch to follow the BDA Conference in May.
- BDA 5-a-side Football Competition – Feasibility being explored.
- BDA Webinars 2025 – A series of webinars is already scheduled:
- 1st April – Coal Mining Risk Assessments – Mining Remediation Authority
- 11th June – PFAS: Analytical Lab Perspective – Element
- 24th Sept – Instrumentation & Monitoring – Jonathan Gammon
